Audi odpuszcza DTM. Czy seria przetrwa?

Wiele się mówi, że sezon 2020 w DTM może się w ogóle nie rozpocząć. Jednak to nie koniec problemów serii.

Otóż wskutek kryzysu z wyścigów po tym roku wycofa się Audi, a to oznacza, że w DTM pozostaną tylko zespoły jeżdżące samochodami marki BMW.

To kolejna firma, która odeszła z DTM. Przed sezonem 2019 zrezygnował Mercedes, a przed 2020 Aston Martin. Trudno oczekiwać, by seria przetrwała, gdy będą w niej jeździć tylko pojazdy od jednego producenta.

Audi chce teraz rzucić wszystkie siły na Formule E. – Audi ukształtowało DTM, a DTM ukształtowało Audi. To pokazuje, jaka siła leży w motorsporcie. Zarówno pod względem technologicznym, jak i emocjonalnym. Dzięki tej energii zamierzamy przekształcić się w dostawcę sportowej i zrównoważonej mobilności elektrycznej – przyznał Markus Deusmann, szef Audi.
